Pentagon Freight Services has been involved in Sub-Saharan Africa for some time now, operating via reputable and compliant agents, specifically in the oil-rich West African regions. It was the escalation of large finds of oil and gas in the East African region and the entry into these locations by many of Pentagon Freight's major clients which led the company to set up offices in this location.
A regional Pentagon Freight Services office opened in Johannesburg, South Africa, on the 1st March 2013 to support our clients and worldwide Pentagon offices. This was augmented with the opening of a Johannesburg operational office on the 1st May 2013, followed by Pentagon project offices in Cape Town and Durban.
Plans are now in place to open further offices in East Africa, to work alongside local support companies. This will allow Pentagon Freight's clients to have their international freight organised globally while having their local operations managed in line with their stringent internal compliance practices and yet inclusive of local content requirements.
Sub-Saharan Africa Head Office
Located close to the commercial business district of Sandton, our Johannesburg office manages the activities of Pentagon in the Sub-Saharan region through a network of agents and our own offices. We assist Pentagon clients with all international transportation, in-country services including customs clearance, transportation and warehousing, and offer an advisory service prior to local set-ups or major project movements.
