Pentagon Malaysia was recently engaged to transport a produced water skid package to a production platform operating offshore in Malaysia.
The 3 main units, a hydrocyclone, degasser, and CFU unit, were over height cargo, with each unit reaching a height of between 6 and 7 meters.
Pentagon Malaysia’s scope included transportation from the Port Klang Free Zone (PKFZ), a route survey from PKFZ to Kemaman Supply Base (KSB), and bonded clearance.
The customer had earlier looked at a barge option to move from PKFZ to Tok Bali due to the over height cargo but Pentagon proposed a more cost effective solution by trucking with a skid splitter to reduce height.
The first batch commenced on 31st March and consisted of the hydrocyclone unit with accessories. The second batch commenced on 24th April consisting of the Degasser unit with accessories, and the last batch moved on 3rd May and consisted of the CFU unit.
Our customer was highly satisfied with Pentagon’s performance.
