  • Pentagon Project Teams in Korea and Houston recently completed a refinery project move which included the transport of several over-dimensional and heavy refinery towers from the Port of Houston to the project site in Hugoton, Kansas.  The largest pieces transported for the project were two HDO Reactors of 29.27 x 4.96 x 4.14 M which weighed 164 MT each.

Transporting these mega towers over by road required a 17 axle line dual lane trailer with two prime movers (one pulling and a second pushing!), motorcycle police officers for traffic control, bucket trucks to lift overhead wires and traffic signals, over 8 weeks of permitting, and engineering in the States of Texas, Oklahoma, and Kansas, and coordination between multiple parties.

We are very proud to report that the heavy transports were completed recently without incident and to the complete satisfaction of the customer and end user in Kansas.
